I Wonder… begins each week with a question. The question is the seed for a half-hour exploration on some topic that hopes to inspire curiosity and wonder. The show is a bi-weekly public affairs program that airs on Wednesdays at 5PM on WRCT Pittsburgh 88.3FM.
Daniel Tkacik is a co-creator, producer, and host of I Wonder… He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, working in the Center for Atmospheric Particle studies to better understand the impacts of combustion emissions on air quality. When he isn’t trying to figure out why things are the way they are, he’s either writing about science for The Tartan or looking for a great drink. You can reach him at daniel.tkacik[at]gmail.com.
Aside from being a proud Ohioan, a very amateur rock-climber, and an enthusiast of Reuben sandwiches, Ellis Robinson is a co-creator, producer, and host of I Wonder… Currently pursuing doctoral studies in Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, he works in the Center for Atmospheric Particle Studies under professor Neil Donahue. His dissertation is on the mixing interactions of atmospheric organic aerosol. Semi-professional interests include science media, scientific literacy and education, and cities and their environments. Drop him a line about the show, or about anything science/radio-related, at the.republic.of.e[at]gmail.com.
